Well... I didn't know that this would happen really. The signs just reminded me a lot of my past relationships. Sadly, we don't always conscious choose who we love or care for, no matter how much pain being with them causes.
I hope at least you had a chance to say all that you needed to say though. And, if you didn't, you'll always have a chance to down the road, when some of the pain has gone.
But it isn't your fault. Relationships live and die, and it takes two, not one, to make it work.
